Mindful Marketing - How to best connect with your customers.
🎉 Father’s Day is around the corner, and now is the perfect time to start reaching out to your customers! But how can you best connect with them this year? Here are some mindful marketing tips and talking points to get you started:
Mindful Marketing
We know this time of year can be tough for some people, and certain dates in the calendar aren't always easy. Following the lead of Bloom & Wild, who allowed customers to opt out of sensitive emails back in 2019, consider checking in with your customers to see if they’d rather not hear about Father's Day. Checking in with them goes a long way and lets them know you care. Being considerate towards more sensitive customers could be vital for retaining them, as well as earning their respect.
Now you know exactly who you’re emailing, let them know about:
Special Menus
This year, our Airshippers are celebrating Dad’s Day with special menus designed to delight.
- Ego Restaurants: Offering a 3-course meal for under £30 featuring their mouthwatering Sunday Roasts, perfect for bringing in families and their all-important Fathers.
- Davy’s: Keeping it classic with a Sunday lunch and winning over wine lovers with a bottle of something delicious.
- The Bunk Inn: Scoring big with Country Pub lunches and serving breakfast from 8 am to 11 am for the early-rising dads.
Offers & Deals
Encourage visits by offering a surprise to help your customers treat the special father figure in their lives.
- Harbour House: Offering Club members a complimentary drink on arrival for Dads, whether it’s his favourite beer, one of their signature cocktails, or a glass of fizz.
- Australasia: Offering a complimentary Yuzu Negroni when dining to show their appreciation for all the dads out there.
Consider adding these offers as a pre-booking incentive for parties of four or more to keep your venue full all day!
Offers can also be a great option to encourage a more engaged database. Using the data of those who book in means you can target them again next year, or for other big-ticket days later in the year.
Events
Do you have an event planned for Sunday, June 16th? Whether it’s a memorable brunch or a perfectly cooked Sunday roast, make sure you’re sharing with your customers.
Gifts & Toggle shop
Let’s go beyond the usual gifts this year. If you’re offering experiences or special gifts at your venue or webshop, make sure your customers are aware! Maybe even send an SMS with an exclusive offer to keep your database engaged.
- Signature Brew: Putting a twist on their namesake with the ‘Pub in a Box’ – their signature beer and with all the trimmings.
- Ego Restaurants: Offering experiences like Steak & Wine for Two and Sharing Board & Jug of Sangria for Two – delicious!
- JP Restaurants: Keeping it simple with a range of gift vouchers available both online and in-venue, perfect for families making plans to celebrate another day or looking for the perfect present.

What happens after Father’s Day?
After Father’s Day, don’t forget to follow up on any bookings or voucher redemptions with a feedback form. This helps you collect those all-important reviews and find out what their Father’s favourite drink or dish was. This information can be incredibly useful for narrowing down your segments for next year.
