We are hiring a Data Insight Analyst

Data Insight Analyst

Airship builds products that serve the best and most exciting brands in the UK hospitality industry - think Revolution, Byron, The Alchemist, Bella Italia, Turtle Bay, Franco Manca, Zizzi and many more.

We have a relaxed and flexible workplace ethos and we’re looking for a Data Insight Analyst to join our small team (circa 40 people).

What will you be doing?

Airship, a guest engagement and CRM platform, stores around 20 million lines of guest data on behalf of our customers, while Toggle (a hospitality commerce platform) has been used to sell over £22 million worth of gift cards. We’re scaling fast and enjoying the challenge!

We’re looking for someone to work closely with both our Product, Customer Success and Marketing teams, as well as with some of our key customers and partners, to jointly create industry leading data insight analysis for the hospitality industry.

Your hypothesis, backed up with data, will help drive our Product direction, as well as arming our Customer Success and Marketing teams with white-paper worthy best practices and tips for how to drive more hospitality foot-fall,  bookings and pre-bought revenue.

What to expect

Your role will kick off with mastering our overall product architectures, data schemas and how our customers use our platforms, shadowing both our developers and support team members. You’ll drop into our weekly routines and stand-ups, so you have exposure to our processes and learn how we work and who we are.

Once you’ve found your feet and know your way around our products, you’ll start helping our Customer Success team with data problem solving.

Sooner than you think, you’ll start collaborating with both Product, Marketing and Customer Success teams, defining your own hypothesis to test, analyze and present back to the teams.

About you

  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to write, persuade and present
  • Have a strong analytical mindset, but also a goal-driven commercial mindset, always thinking about how data can be used to solve problems.
  • Ability to write SQL queries to obtain and process data independently
  • Strong problem solving skills, for when you are digging into data discrepancies
  • Become an encyclopedia of knowledge about how our products work and what they are capable of.
  • Expertise in representing information in an easy-to-digest, visual manner
  • Experience of using a platform such as Power BI, Tableau or equivalent would be beneficial

Benefits & culture
