New Feature: See every guest at once, and how your customer base changes
The Single Customer View puts your whole database on one screen, split into the segments that matter to you, sized, valued and tracked daily.
Ask most hospitality marketers how many guests are on their database and they'll know straight away. Ask how many of those came once and never returned, what the regulars are worth, or whether either number moved last month, and the answer usually involves an export, a spreadsheet and a free afternoon.
The data is there. It's rarely in one place, in a shape you can read at a glance. Single Customer View changes that and it's now live in every Airship account!
Your database, in slices
Single Customer View shows your segments side by side as tiles, so you can see your entire database split the way you think about it.
One prompt shows how far that goes:
Split my database by number of visits in the last twelve months: zero, one, two, three, four, and five or more.
You get six segments back. Put them in your Single Customer View dashboard and the shape of your business is in front of you: how much of your base is one-visit-and-gone, how big and valuable your loyal core is, and how many guests sit in between, waiting for a reason to come back.
Four more places to start
Visit frequency is the obvious first view, but the questions you can ask are much wider. A few worth trying:
Split my customers into high, medium and low value based on the last three months
This shows where your revenue actually comes from, and how much of it depends on a small group of guests.
Group my guests by what they order most often
This shows who comes in for what, so your next menu or offer goes to the guests most likely to care about it.
Split my most valuable guests by how recently they last visited: this month, last month, and not for 60 days or more
This lets you spot your best guests drifting while there's still time to bring them back.
Split my lapsed guests into those who have visited again in the last 30 days and those who have not
Sent a win-back email to your lapsed guests? Run this afterwards to see how many of them came back through the door.
Add any of them to Single Customer View and movement will show you, week by week, whether those groups are growing or shrinking.
What every tile tells you
Each segment tile shows:
- Segment size, and its share of your total database
- Movement over the last 7, 14 and 30 days, and in which direction
- Average spend per visit and average value per guest
- Total spend and number of purchase days
- Total visits and average visits per year
- Average tenure on your database
- Average age
Built to be shared
Everyone on your account sees the same Single Customer View, and it stays set up between sessions. When you add a segment for the team, it's there for everyone.
Any tile can be downloaded as an image, named with the segment and the date, ready to drop into a weekly ops update or a board pack.
You can also dig into any segment through the chat sidebar. Ask "show me the top 20 guests in this segment by average visits" or "break this segment down by age and gender" and Ask Airship will answer.
Getting started
New segments take up to 24 hours to populate, and movement figures appear after seven days of data. So the best day to start building your view is today! For a full walkthrough, see our support guide and video.
Not with Airship yet? If you run EPOS, bookings or WiFi, you're already collecting the data behind this view. Book a demo and we'll show you how Airship brings it together.
